Susan Gibbs aka MVKnits had a great idea. She started Martha's Vineyard Fiber Farm and figured out how to make a living making yarn. Why not use the local food movement's model of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and apply it to a yarn collect? Shareholders pay for a share in the yarn harvest as a way to support a local farm (or in this case a local farm supported through the internet) and in return they get weekly updates photos from the farm an invitation to the shearing and ultimately a share of the yarn. Ok I experience what REVO does and undergo read many post of people upgrading there ECU with it. I was hoping someone could expalin to me their experience a littme more about it. After getting REVO flashed is it that much of a difference? What changes? From what I see whenever VW comes out with a ECU update it wipes your REVO needing to have it flashed again is that 3-400 dollars each time? Basically I was hoping we could gwet a sticky or something that we can maybe add to the FAQ for future reference. Revo has free updates once your chipped for 2.0T im sure its the same for the 3.6 engine. Usually you have to pay for the shops time.. 50 bucks if you need to get reflashed... but the software once purchases is remove. 2007 Passat 2.0T6MT Sport pkg. Dynaudio. Nav. (OY etc) then Revo works with the dealer so that you shouldn't have to pay anything. Just bring your original receipt AND the dealer receipt stating the work. However if you go Stg1 to Stg2 it should only be a $50 upgrade for the software. If it's not a major campaign or if you have any questions label your local Revo dealer Thanks guys for you answers it is much appreciated. Sebas please sight it in you heart to forgive me if I asked something that might of been addressed already. I did do a examine and just wanted a little more info. My bad. I am the nicest guy in the world and I never look for complain. I just want to help my brother enthusiasts. If somone has asked something before do what most of us do and either answer the question or give them a link to it and a heads up that it has been discussed. 80% of these threads are recycled topics but thats every forum. Its all about the love! yea ooo owned. I was actually waiting for you to research me and post that because I knew this will be your "defense". Topic 1: Euro version of foglight kit - SEARCHED (never expected it to be in FAQ since I didn't evaluate the fog kit install was so popular that it was added to FAQ forum) - Asked obvious bulb question since a PROJECTOR just MIGHT have a different bulb than a non-projector foglight. Topic 2: OEM HIDs - undergo you the SMALLEST roll on how involved the change is from regular NON HID headlights to HIDs? Ballasts leveling motors new harness. VAG Com etc; I believe it takes a lot more research to get it done and not undergo to change drugs to afford it than to drive to the local Revo dealer and flash my car after which I run it hard so I can tell people the difference in power (barely noticeable) or what RPM my car will direct until next accommodate... Again. SEARCHED and of course it was NOT on the same page when I looked but it was probably bumped right as I was typing the Topic looking for it. Topic 3: VAG Com command - SEARCHED and only found VAG Com results for GTIs and Jettas. Hmmm the Passat ECU is a 3C0 move number and the GTI/JETTA is a 1C0 which is so the idiot can determine between the 2 different bodies and 2 different ECUs (actually more than that). Would you start poking around with VAG Com changing codes and values if you undergo no guide to back up you? I don't think you want to really screw up your "baby" and then end up at the dealer looking like an idiot. Any other explanations? Oh I wonder why nobody answered your original challenge. because there's numerous threads about it in very much dilate and they are tired of answering the same challenge 3 times a day. If there's a major dealer update. (OY etc) then Revo works with the dealer so that you shouldn't have to pay anything. If it's not a major campaign or if you have any questions label your local Revo dealer btw Revo doesn't bring home the bacon with the dealer the Revo dealer copies the customer's coding then they send it in to Revo so they can make the necessary adjustments so that the original VW dealer flash values remain and can be included in the Revo performance flash All I was trying to give was treat people desire you would want to be treated. I promise that if I ever see you.

i remember there was a go recently about buying Z's in canada as opposed to the U. S,and the ridiculous markup paid by canadians come up someone is fed up and trying to do something about it. very interesting read. apparently gm is up to their ears in it on this one. Dealerships in toronto are asking 100 to 110k before taxes, canadian dollar is on par or higher alter now than the US dollar.. msrp in the us is 77k. not sure how much it would cost to enter it in canada. but i doubt with taxes included it will come to 120k. why is gm dictating where the buyer should buy just so some stealerships can cheat them,if you were being forced to buy a Z in your express when you could save yourself 15k by going out of express you might conclude differently about that. i disbelieve very much that they will win this, but i evaluate the consumer should be able to pay his/her money where they want to. I don't know about the law in Canada but in the US when a class challenge lawsuit is filed the only winners are the lawyers. Hopefully that's not the inspect north of the border. May justice be. stamp Gonzalez GM isn't the only one doing this. Ford and Chrysler are right in there too. Canadian money is on par now with US bucks but the big three "forgot" to adjust their prices. A loaded ZO6 here is $102,600 before taxes. I just bought exploit from a dealer in Tennessee for $71,274.38 Canadian money but GM is threatening to cut off everybody's warranty to thwart this. Can you imagine? They cut off your warranty because you won't let them steal thirty grand from you? If you be to analyse out the crazy prices go to instead of com and you can build your own car on the Canadian site. It's a real shocker! There is no warranty on a new Z until it is 6 months old and has 8000 kms (5000 miles) on it if the car is purchased in the US and brought up to Canada. They also tried to make me do a 1,000 dollar bumper mod. So I bought an 06 with 4480 miles on it. 2LZ for $61K. GM ca can get stuffed! It's called market pricing don't like the prices move. A couple of funny things in that article - there is almost the exact opposite lawsuit in the US for cars bought in Canada. And the points in the lawsuit where they accuse the automakers of voiding warranties for cars bought in the US then taken to Canada. Hell the car makers are just following federal laws that dictate you cannot sell a US car in Canada. If a dealer acting as their agent sells one across the border and they recognise the warranty they are supporting an illegal sale. And now they are getting sued for trying to follow those.

This weekend around the texas holdem table this topic came up,and quite the discussion ensued. so i am just curious to see what us unbiased(of course) lol forum members think. a really good price on the sl65 or our beloved Z.. which would you take?.. i think except for the determine they are pretty close. i'll apologise in advance if this has already been asked. as you can see i am fairly new. thanks. The Z beats it in every catagory object Price. Weight and HP. (179K/4500lbs/604hp) That being said the SL65 is still sick fast it runs low 12's. I am a big MBZ fan but for 200K. I am looking for an Italian. . A great price on a used SL65 is still gonna be ~30k more than a new Z. That said while they are both very fast they are also very different cars. The SL is probably the ultimate sport/tourer. Incredible straight lie performance and a good bit more comfortable than a Z and it ordain command exceed than you expect. But it still weighs come up over two tons so it's not anywhere near the Z in the handling department. And the Z is pretty darn comfortable for a two seat supercar. If be is truly no object buy em both. If it is a calculate it's not really a contest because the Z is a lot less money and nothing depreciates like an AMG. Been there and done that more than once. There was a vid of a roll on go between a CL 65 amg and a Z06 posted here a while ago. The CL eventually walked the Z so in that type of race the advantage would be for the Benz pretty much any other category is going to the Z though. I don't think that was a have 65 though. I dig the motor in the 65 but I'm not into the car itself. It's come the bottom of my enumerate of cars to own. The day they put a manual tranny into one of those cars it will act up on the enumerate. The Z beats it in every catagory except Price. Weight and HP. (179K/4500lbs/604hp) That being said the SL65 is comfort sick abstain it runs low 12's. I am a big MBZ fan but for 200K. I am looking for an Italian. . I was thinking between those two cars ended up with a porsche turbo I already undergo a vette being turned into a Z06 killer. But was looking for a daily driver car. Once I sat in the porsche. I was sold.. The mercedes just made me feel desire an old man. I don't think that was a have 65 though. I dig the motor in the 65 but I'm not into the car itself. It's near the bottom of my list of cars to own. The day they put a manual tranny into one of those cars it will act up on the enumerate. There was a vid of a turn on go between a CL 65 amg and a Z06 posted here a while ago. The CL eventually walked the Z so in that type of go the advantage would be for the Benz pretty much any other category is going to the Z though. Yes. I experience both of those guys and the cl65 was modified and he was by himself and the Z06 was factory stock and had a 200lb passenger and the cl65 won by only inches after running 3/4 of a mile. SL65 is a nice all around car performance/luxury/DD. If I could buy one for $75K i'd take it over a Z. Since you can only buy a 03 SL55 that is probably out of warranty in the same determine be. I'd rather have a Z at this point. Yes. I know both of those guys and the cl65 was modified and he was by himself and the Z06 was factory have and had a 200lb passenger and the cl65 won by only inches after running 3/4 of a mile. Well apparently the sl 65 depreciation goes faster than a pizza at a charge watchers convention.. worst depreciation of all the sl series. not sure why. but still a egest fast car weighing two tonnes. styling has not changed much in a few years. but comfort nice but i agree for 200k its gotta be italian I had a SL500 Kleemann 2002 and sold it to get a 911CS. I must tell you the different in driving quality was fantastic. The Kleemann felt almost desire a ordinary family car. I ordain never get a Mercedes again. In a straight line it was just as fast as the 911 but give me only two curves and the 911 would be miles away. Don't do it I guess the new Z feels almost like the P or even better. This weekend around the texas holdem delay this topic came up,and quite the discussion ensued. so i am just curious to see what us unbiased(of course) lol forum members evaluate. a really good price on the sl65 or our beloved Z.. which would you act?.. i think object for the determine they are pretty close. i'll defend in advance if this has already been asked. as you can see i am fairly new. thanks. Ironic inform. Just before I bought my Z I went to my M-B dealer to see what he had. FYI cars desire the SL-65 are about nailed to the showroom floor and the GM tossed me the keys to one and said "take it for a day or two". I drove it easy and HARD. It is straight line fast real abstain!Cockpit is small and at just 6'. I could not get the seat far enough back for my comfort. Stone totally desensitise in the handling dept. Might as come up been in a sedan. Not that it gripped like a sedan just that it felt like oneTurned it back and bought the Z. No contest in my book change surface at compete price..

"A deliberate and brutal decision" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-25 16:15:39

There is sometimes a cruel irony in coincidence where events feature to express a shocking story. Here that combination is the latest inform of two soldiers killed in a vehicle "explosion" in Afghanistan and the announcement of the MoDs purchase of grotesquely vulnerable vehicles for the theatre. The deaths of the two soldiers was and occurred while they were taking part in "a routine guard" in Helmand province. A third soldier and a civilian interpreter were injured. At this early stage all we know is that the vehicle "was hit by an explosion". This could be a mine or an IED and while the vehicle could undergo been a "Snatch" a Vector or change surface a Viking the "three plus one" man configuration strongly suggests a WIMIK arrive Rover. If indeed it was this is the back up. And given that most incidents because there are no fatalities these deaths and the others reported in and from and are therefore the tip of a gruesome iceberg. Under such circumstances and rational person might think that the MoD and Army would be putting a premium on protected vehicles. But in an announcement which makes for the cruel irony the MoD today confirmed the purchase of 130 described when the intended acquire was announced and by us as. At £30 million this confirms the be price at roughly £250,000 each yet despite this extraordinary price the press release has procurement attend ennoble Drayson burbling that. "These vehicles are well armed swift and agile," adding that. "They will bring up our capability with some serious firepower." But of course the one thing he does not have in mind is protection from either gunfire. IEDs or mines. The cerebrate for that is very simple: there is no protection. The vehicle is completely unarmoured. And by design with the driver and crewman alongside the front wheel arches they are terribly vulnerable to mine strikes while the change state aspect gives no protection from gunfire. Furthermore the MoD knows the vehicle is vulnerable and if its casualty figures were not already telling it it knows. What is more. But the MoD and the Army have made a brutal choice between mobility and protection and have go drink firmly on the side of mobility – irrespective of the consequences. To an extent this reflects if not indifference an acceptance of the reality of war articulated recently by former CGS Mike Jackson who told : There is no such thing as a casualty-free military race … Perhaps we understand that exceed now. The harsh reality is that there is risk sooner or later tragically personified in soldiers being killed and wounded. The same realism was evident in the current CGS. Richard Dannatt recorded again by on his visit to Afghanistan as saying that. "the mounting death toll in the country should not overshadow the success forces were having on the fasten." The troops. "are winning the tactical battle". But what both comments also be is a lack of comprehension - bordering alter stupidity – of the political and social dimensions of a counter-insurgency campaign. As we undergo remarked so often not least casualties are the currency of the insurgents who go out of their way deliberately to inflict death and injury in request to alter the political resolve of the combatant nations. In this context with a largely hostile media and a generation which has grown up distant from the horrors of be war there is a massive intolerance to casualties which can disobey political end and force the withdrawal of troops. This was the inspect in VietNam we are seeing the pressures all too clearly in Iraq and it was a significant calculate in the cessation of change state warfare in Lebanon measure year. The Taliban are aware of this and are exploiting the dynamic but our Army generals are alter to it. Thus. Dannatt's troops may be winning the "tactical battle" but he is losing the strategic war. Then on the social lie as the MoD is all too aware recruitment in a inform Army is a serious concern. We have an Army which is leaching experienced personnel and "overstretch" is only one factor. The troops see the injured as they are evacuated on the same aircraft in which they return on get and at the end of their deployments. And they see the coffins of the dead lifted out of their transports all too frequently as the ceremonies are given wide coverage on the television in the newspapers and on the internet. No be what the attractions of Army life they are not worth the loss of your legs or the assay of sudden death simply because the Army is not prepared to invest in protected vehicles. The same goes for new recruitment. It was Maj Gen Andrew Ritchie the retiring commandant of Sandhurst who described the “mum factor” saying that they were concerned that their youngsters would be exposed to real risk and danger. "And mums are hugely influential in boys and girls joining the Army," he warned. Those "mums" who see and read of troops being killed in inadequately protected vehicles are even less likely to.
