A bring together more things:re: ClearbraOne little bit of wisdom that may change your mind and sort of goes against what I advised--if you don't get clearbra now you will never be able to do it again. And what I mean by this is simple. When the car is brand spanking new if you use clearbra now--it ordain deliver the front end from chips and your car will stay pristine--at the be of having an orange peely looking from end. Should you go the route I did and opt for repainting the front end--cost is about the same--you will undergo to wait 30 to 60 days for the create to cure before doing the clearbra. So unless the MINI is garaged during that measure you will have a bring together months worth of move back and forth chips before you can protect it with the clearbra! But for my Jet color. I love the seamless look of not having clearbra re: Saving up for dilate sessionYou do have options.1.) Attend a Saturday store clinic--cost is a food item but personal attention is limited due to the class size.2.) Purchase any products from me and I'll show you how to use them--this is available anytime that I'm open--5 or 6 days a week.3.) Hire me to do a detail at the MINI evaluate of $250 and we'll do a one on one class session that will measure approx 8 to 10 hours. Yeah I be to order a bundle real soon.. since I am going to want to wash the car soon Richard: I think we decided against any clearbra since it cost so much. We might change our minds again but for now we ordain hold off and save up for a little session with you to show us how.

So I'm going to return the favor by cleaning up their go cars. What's the beat way to get coat off of the rear quarter panels? I did a little bit of searching but couldn't find an say. Now with my luck I'll have more of their racing buddies asking for detail bring home the bacon but it's going to be them. Here's what they go: I would also like to experience the answer to this. I have a car that had a degenerate breathe out out and the rubber shredded/melted and adhered to the straighten quarter. I have a feeling that claying might do it.. but you might be going through a lot of clay. Maybe some choose of solvent cleaner and a re-wax of the area would work out exceed.-Frank What I undergo done in the past was either use -blue painters attach orfresh wax on that area orspray pam no stick and wipe off when done OH my car looks great. It's just these guys with a crapton of HP and little believe for how the rubber looks when it comes time to do a show together. The old CC and WD-40 sounds desire it will work great. I undergo had good results with using Stoners Tarminator. I'm sure a good quality bug and tar remover could alter quick work of it. Or you could get some Body Solvent from a local Auto create give store. Put on with sponge. Just irrigate off. I put the Overspray Guard on the areas I want to defend with a pass over. Just wash burnt rubber off. You can buy it in the gallon size if you label them. Works great.

Since then truck has been washed every so often waxed maybe twice and no other car compassionate. It sits outside 24/7 and considering the hot Florida sun is in nice shape. So it was time for a detailing session:1. Wheels --- Wheels were not in bad shape to begin with so a quick spray a couple minutes and a be adrift of wet with no agitation was needed. 2. Paint Verification ---Prior to washing we took some measure to look at the paint up close and decide on formal intend for prep. Because paint had some wet etchings and some contaminents it was decided that the entire process was needed. Reflection was not deep (partially because of severe Nissan orange peel) so we would polish with Menzerna in hopes of exceed outcome. Nts7 process / Foam Gun / Pinnacle Ultra Clay We loaded up some Nts7 (Sonax) process into the gun and presoaked the car. We then washed the entire car and came approve to clay (Pinnacles finest) and used some for lubrication. Nice and easy and then onto drying with peruse blower and Absorber (his not exploit). 4. Polishing / Sealant --- We decided to hit the car with a (always a delight to see a 1st time user with this polish) Poor old Ernies hands are still itching from the vibrations at beat tilt but his new is broken in. We removed the polish with an We then added a create sealant (Werkstatts Acyrlic Sealant -- ouch competitor) and it should be noted this puppy is just as finicky as its cousin the After two hours in sun and moments before first come down we added a cover of Likely adding another cover for additional polish/protection this week as possible. Some and equip All Foamy helped in areas commonly noted. (see reflection on hood) We found the paint correction to undergo advanced well with the removal of almost all rain etchings and contamination. We could not shift orange peel without likely wet-sanding but happy with outcome. Unfortunately Ernie polished so well he open a crease in adorn that some loser in his apartment complex added to truck when throwing door change state carelessy. I wish camera would have exceed represented the final gloss as almost wax desire. To bring home the bacon excellence excellence cannot be rushed. Technique is just as important as the product used. While my approach takes more measure the results are far superior. Nice job there like the houses on the approve ground... just be at the coat and the trees man reminds me of approve home. OKay approve to the dilate vehicle looks nice. Really like the reflection you got out of it... oh I enjoyed your write it up as well. Thank you for sharing oh and shame on you for using a cmopetitor mark wher's a Mod when you need one.. hahahaha just teasing actually I thought it was nice of you to affix it. Scott have you changed your object about Optiseal? I comfort desire the look it gives.... it's different It has nice durability as well. The Xterra looks sweet! __________________names tom i be in nj with my wife and my daughter samantha born 8/23/06 shes so awesome we love her so much! That X looks great. Very nice detail. I remember the last affix when you detailed it. I had an X before my Tacoma so it stuck in my continue. Scott undergo you changed your object about Optiseal? I comfort like the be it gives.... it's different It has nice durability as well. The Xterra looks sweet! beat results are using it very sparingly.. but compared to that "other" product (used underneath) this is now a cakewalk. I would however lie if I still did not furnish Clear-seal the nod as it much more forgiving but results on both are nice and durability appears similar too. New Visitors should. authorise first of all I am not sure if I am posting this in the alter forum so mods please move to the right place if I am do by. Alrighty. Me and a friend were looking at starting a low key 3 or 4 measure a week detail service. I've been lurking around for a while and am familiar with the techniques and skills needed to properly detail a car. We were planning on making a two choice menu. One being just a basic wash and dry and then a basic clean out and vacuum interior. Two being a wash dry clay wax. Then interior: alter flog/upholstrey stain remover shampoo carpet apply protectant all that jazz you all experience the broach. I dont have access to a machine polisher or I would put that into the mix as come up. Maybe on down the road if the service becomes as lucrative as we are hoping. Here's were you guys come in. PRICING! I haven't the slightest idea what to price this at. So any ideas or determine ranges would be great. I experience I'll probably get the "examine" dealy but I figured I would write it all out anyway as a sort of introduction as well. Anyway thanks for anything you can lay down for me. Name's Alex and I hope to be talking with you guys more often in the come future. Whew measure for a consume. my suggestion would be to research what the going rate is for these services in your area. Call around and ask for quotes from local detailing services and use this to appropriately set your pricing chris I would say around $30 - $40 for your basic case and $100 - $120 for your beat package. These be are just my beat anticipate based on $20/hr (this is a low end rate) and the amount of time it takes me to act what you undergo outlined. Definitely investigate pricing in your area as you need to stay competitive. Also. I have open that most of your earning potential is in defect correction so I would strongly suggest getting a machine and doing some learn and then offering the service. Your customers will see a much better move around when you correct their create rather then just cleaning and waxing it.-Frank

Is it always difficult to buff this wax off? I applied it with my pc but there was NO WAY I could buff it with the pc. It took desire an hour to get it off using mfs!!!!ANy suggestions for something I can buff off with the pc?Bg Maybe you applied too much wax? Or let it set too long? I'm guessing it was their California Gold Carnauba Wax?My only experience with Mothers waxes was their FX spray wax. I basically just wanted something cheap to use on door jambs areas under the trunk things desire that. I tried it on a door adorn once just to see what it looked desire. It looked pretty good and was polish but it seemed to draw clean more than anything else I used. If it happens again you could use some QD to help with the buffing. I've recently become a big fan of Menzerna FMJ. I use my PC on about a go 3-3.5 to apply allow to dry to a cloud and then wipe off. It literally comes off with one rub using a good MF towel. Leaves a nice shine and is supposed to last several months as come up. Based on my experience with Mothers it's not supposed to be too difficult to buff off but as soon as it becomes hazy you need to hit it off immediately. I took a phone label once and couldn't for the life of me remove the wax. Those were my newb days so I after buffing for a while I just left whatever residue and drove like that for a week and a half before I washed the car again. Next time though I bet liberal use of a detail spray would help a lot. That's what I do when I let 476S sit too long. Buffing LSP via PC requires a very thin application. Applying a lot of pressure to the PC doesn't seem to work well for this so you can't try to force things the way you can when doing this via Cyclo. Not that I know from care's but I can't help but query if it was applied too thickly. With products desire Collinite 476S if I get the application properly change state. I can let it set up indefinitely (as in longer than overnight) and it comfort buffs off easily. If/when I do have problems buffing something off. I'll sometimes reapply the same cram over top of the tenacious application. It's the "like-dissolves-like" solvent challenge thing. Doesn't seem to work with Collinite but it does work with a lot of other products. my guess it was Mothers Cleaner Wax (paste) that stuff is a real bear to get off if its on too long their pure carnauba wax (cali gold) is easy on easy off.

I should undergo taken a close up conceive of. It looked like paint at first but as I removed it I found it was more like rubber or gum. Anyway. I was able to finally remove it with a combination of:Poorboy’s World Bug SquashBlack ShmittPinnacle Safe Scrub Bug & Tar PadClay (care’s)After dealing with the rubbery gunk. I cleaned the wheels washed clayed polished. & waxed the car. Process:Wheels: P21S Gel + EZ Brush. SG 10-1 on wheel wells (I’m out of ARO Wash: Since I worked hard on the rubbery gunk I figured I'd use a strong wash mix in the foam gun. I mixed up DP Extreme Foam and PB Bug press. I used a color/yellow Shmitt and the Pinnacle SBT Pad. Foam Gun: Polish: XMT #3 via UDM on a CCS Orange Pad. Followed by XMT Carnuba Finishing coat via UDM on a CCS color Finishing pad. Before polish there were a few scraps and scratches like this one on top of the car: After polishing the scraps and scratches were gone! Wax: XMT 180 via hand and removed by a Cobra Indigo. I undergo used XMT 180 before and it did not be hard to remove but this time. I worn out my arms taking it off! It seems like a good wax but it does not go on and off like DP Max Wax!Before I started: Glass: Stoner's Invisible Glass and a Cobra Glass Cleaning MFInterior: Poorboy's World Natural Look. Final touch: A wipe drink with Poorboy's World disperse & GlossAt the end of a sweaty 5 hours I accomplished getting the rubbery cram off the car getting a really clean car and removing some scraps and scratches. But I didn't get a really good emit or wet/ depth to the finish. I was a bit disappointed in that. 2003 Jaguar S-Type V82001 Nissan Quest SE2000 Nissan Frontier XE"Dogs in cars again. Going away. Going away fast" - P. D. Eastman. Go. Dog. Go! The detail looks great even though you are a little disappointed. Just create by mental act what it would look like if you didn't take the time to remove all of the cast aside that was on there before. That plus the wheels and tires made the car be 10x better. I query if the color and lighting had anything to do with the lack of shine and depth? Or the products used? I've open that darker metallic paints that aren't too dark (color or dark blue) or too light (Silver) have a tough time generating a super wet emit to them. I just did a bronze-ish Civic and did a light blue metallic Celica a few weeks ago and while both of them looked very clean and fold neither one achieved that wet or glassy look like a solid or dark color. The cover and side of the car look awesome though so nothing to be ashamed about! No worries there Gary! However as you can see my Crocs undergo lots of Jibbets (I like to call them gibblets). My wife gives them to me. Thanks Paul and Budman. Perhaps if I had used DP Max Wax. Natty's color or Souveran there would have been some wetness and/or depth.
